Can I make equally good to drum machine beats using FL Studio if I play guitar for my songs. ?

fl studio drums

I had a Boss drum machine and it sounded great. I have this software now and it looks extremely complex and expensive unlike the drum machine which lets you pop out nice beats easily. Is this software worth learning if you want to make drums for your guitar playing songs, or are there other software that suit better the guitar sounds? I figured it would be good since it costs so much. Thanks guys!

You can, but it takes time to learn. I’m not a huge fan of FL myself, but it’s actually easier to use than other similar programs – it makes beat making a lot simpler than you probably think. The hardest part is finding samples that sound the way you want them to, and then learning how to program the beats to make them sound the way you want them to.

So there is a learning curve, just like there was with your Boss drum machine. You can do a lot, lot, LOT more with a program like Fruity Loops vs the Boss, but remember that you can also use a program like Fruity Loops to *record* your Boss drum machine’s output, and record your guitar over that, so it’s not like you have to forgo it entirely or anything!

There are also good programs out there that aren’t as expensive. I use Reaper, but it’s a little more stripped down in terms of not having the ease of use to make beats. It can, but you have to work at it a little more. It’s more of a recording program. You can check it out if you want, it’s free to use and cheap to register.
