good luck. it took me months to master fl ur not gonna learn it in one answer. its a great program. ill give u some key things u should know.

u have two modes song, and pattern. pattern helps you make loops and in song mode u put all those loops together.

always have your playlist open. this is where you put all your patterns.

to create melodys use the piano roll.

theres so much more. youtube will help alot.
    good luck.

Although FL Studio is quite easy to learn it will take a lot of time to master it. First, don’t underestimate the manual, it has info on pretty much everything in the program:

Try to do something, then when you get stuck check the manual. Can’t find it in the manual, look up a tutorial or instructions on online producer forums or youtube. Just Yahoo/Google for it.
Then take the next step. Little by little you will understand how to work with this program. I can already tell you you’ll want to look into installing some (free) VST instruments and effects to get additional sounds. You can find many online, and here’s how you install them:

You can save all your work on the FL Studio demo, but you won’t be able to re-open it unless you buy a license. Also know that some of the generators like Sytrus only come with the more expensive version of FL Studio so if you use them and then buy a cheaper license you still can’t use the instrument. Some instruments are not included in Fl Studio at all, they’re premium plugins that are sold separately (Poizone, Sawer, and some more)

In case you end up getting FL Studio, you can get 10% discount on your first order from image-line with this promo link for new customers:

Just make sure you get the right version. The demo is basically the same as the Producer Edition, except for some of the generators like Sytrus and Directwave that are only available in the Signature Bundle. You can compare the editions here:

I use the Producer Edition myself as the cheaper versions lack some of the features I need (audio recording/editing, full playlist clips and automation support, and more)

    Good luck!
