Drag the song onto the playlist and use the tools to cut and stretch the audio as needed. You can’t get just the vocals because you don’t have the original multitrack recording, you just have a stereo mix of the final song. The record company won’t give you those original recordings, so unless you have a great proposal for them don’t expect anything. You can cut up parts of the original song and use those though. Just right-click on an empty sampler channel in the channel window (F6) and select “load sample.” Now navigate to the cranberries song that you have and choose that. Now it will show up in the sampler window as a big waveform. Drag that waveform onto the playlist and cut and paste to your liking.
