If it is just a single sample you won’t be able to completely remove the beat. When you hear acapellas (voice only) they are single stereo tracks that were placed with the rest of the music in the final mix. When all you have is a sample of the final mix, this means that all the independent tracks were mixed into one stereo (or mono) track. That extra sound will always be there.
You can try placing the sound sample on its own track in the mixer (F9) and adding Fruity Parametric EQ 2. Place a low shelf and high shelf so that the line plummets straight down on the left and right side. Adjust them so that only the voice is heard for the most part. Remember that you cannot extract vocals from a single stereo track. Even Karaoke songs have essentially two tracks that play and the knob on the karaoke machine adjusts the mix between the music and the original vocals. Using the EQ will be the best you can do, but remember that taking out frequencies can make a vocal sound muffled or lifeless. Good luck
