Serious Fruity Loops/Midi-Usb Problem?
So I have a Midi to Usb Controller made by M-Audio and I have properly installed it’s driver. I’m using it with FL Studio XXL Producer Edition 8 and a simple keyboard that I have used for Midi before. I have checked in control panel under Audio Devices and it says the device is working properly and is enabled.
I Go into Fruity Loops, click on Midi settings only to find 2 options under outut and none under input:
Microsoft Midi Mapper and Microsoft GW Wavetable Synth.
I use the MMM over the wavetable synth, send the master sync and everything seems fine, but it won’t play any sound when I press the keys on the synth.
What am I doing Wrong? all the enable checks are on so it’s not that

One of the things that you might be doing wrong is using FL Studio XXL Producer Edition 8. That sounds like a pirated version as XXL Producer Edition doesn’t exist. Do yourself a favor and get a legit copy, you’ll get lifetime free updates (FL Studio 9 is out already) and you will get access to the Image-Line forums where thousands of people can help you with questions like these. Here’s a link for 10% discount on FL Studio:
Right, now about your MIDI problem. If the M-Audio MIDI device does not show up under your MIDI in and out lists in the FL Studio MIDI configuration dialog I don’t think it is going to work.
Is the M-Audio device showing up in you Microsoft Midi Mapper configuration?
One thing you need to make sure is to have your MIDI devices turned on before starting FL Studio.
It’s a bit hard to diagnose the problem without additional information…
Good luck!
