What would be a good setup for a home studio?

My friends and I are getting a band together and we’re saving our money to buy studio equipment and record some tracks. I will also need help with renovation material for our house so we can make a home studio. We want to buy an acoustic drum kit, an electric drum kit and a drum machine so we get the best of everything. We’re also going to buy a few guitars (electric, acoustic), a keyboard/synth, bass and of course, some mics. We’re also going to want to get a mixer and some studio monitors for mastering audio. What would be some good brands and types of instruments and equipment to buy? We want to make heavy metal mainly, but still be able to make techno and other genres of music. Also, I have FL Studio and I’m going to invest in the XXL version and some plugins for it. What method could I use to interface a keyboard/synthesizer with FL Studio and its plugins via MIDI? Because I want to be able to mix it up; use the drum machine sometimes, use the plugins available on FL Studio and make melodies for the plugins using the synthesizer and be able to mix and match. Basically I want the flexibility to be able to make music using a mixture of both the instruments and FL Studio via MIDI for mastering, songwriting and everything under the sun. What would be some good equipment and approaches to take to achieve this setup? Also, renovation material and maybe some floor plans that accomodate our equipment configurations. Any help will be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks a bunch! This is a big question!
