Fruity Loops Studio Samples

so this is what i do

i open up Fl studio 8

then go to Channels .. add audio clip

then i click options audio settings and i select
ASIO4ALL

then i click mixer

i click on send 1

then i click on my mic.. input and output..
then i click on the circle record button.. i put on song
i chose everything!! and then boom! nothing..
the timmer doesnt work..

can someone please help me!!

I connected my real yamaha piano with the computer by putting an aux port from the piano’s phones port to the computer’s microphone port. I pressed record in FL and nothing happens.

Maybe connect it wrong, maybe i clicked the wrong thing in FL…
what can i do?

i use.
M Audio Interface with phantom power for my microphone.

my mic os not an option for one of the inputs.
Yes, my mic plug right into my pc. i already have asio4all it came with fl.

I want to be able to record both guitar and vocals (sometimes together, some separately) using fruity loops.

My spec is Windows XP Home
Realtek AC97 Audio
ASIO4ALL
Toshiba A60 laptop

I have whittled it down (being a beginner in this field) to the following requirements: –

UBS MIC (Any suggestions?…, SM58 or condenser, p.s. recording room not set up acoustically)
Guitar and jack leads (Tick)
External soundcard (Any suggestions?)

If use, for example, M-Audio Fast Track USB Guitar + Vocal Recording Audio Interface, which has support for ASIO, does this mean that this will still work with ASIO4ALL?

i have been using FL for about six months. I have been producing tracks and even recording audio. today i came home, unplugged my Logitech microphone to plug up my webcam headset w/ microphone and the studio starts freezing up and says the sample rate cannot be opened or my asio4all doesn’t support such a sample of 44100 hz. now, i have deleted my asio4all , and i can open my studio without any problem. but , without my asio4all i can’t record. any suggestions??? please, please help!!!!
